Duties and Responsibilities of Department or Committee:
Elections
Determines number of vacancies to be filled and prepares ballot for town election
Supervises election officers at elections and primaries
Prepares voting lists
Registration of voters
Census information
Town meetings
Posting of notices calling town meeting
Records all matters voted at town meetings
Submits bylaw amendments adopted at town meetings to the Attorney General for approval
Maintains records of Births, Intentions of Marriage, Marriages and Deaths
Receives and files resignations of town officials
Records and files Board of Appeals and Planning Board decisions
Records pole locations
Administers oaths of office to all town officials
Parking Clerk
