| Collects all real estate,
personal property taxes |
| Collects all boat and motor
vehicle excise taxes and utility billing (i.e. water/sewer) |
| Collects scholarship monies |
| Prepares certificate of
municipal liens for attorneys or banks |
| Prepares and records forms and
maintains records for "Tax in Litigation" relating to bankruptcy |
| Initiates actions again tax
delinquents; prepares and places tax title advertisements in local
newspapers; prepares various local, state and federal forms as required by
law |
| Provides information to
attorneys, mortgage companies, and banks regarding taxes, tax payments and
other information |
| Maintains records of all
accounts |
| Paying and receiving agent for
town |
| Collects all town receipts for
deposit |
| Invests all available cash |
| Processes payroll for
departments |
| Completes appropriate reports
for the Commonwealth |
| Completes bond issues |
| Maintains bond payments |
| Reconciles cash to town
accountant records |
