Youth Police Academy

There is no Youth Academy scheduled at this time.
Please check back in the future for any Youth Academy announcements.
The Youth Police Academy is a free one week program that runs Monday through Friday in the summertime.  Students learn about various aspects of law enforcement such as crime scene processing, CPR, K-9 activities, criminal law and procedure, accident reconstruction, report writing, etc.  Academy days run from approximately 8:30am until 3:00pm.
A typical academy day consists of physical training, morning snack, morning classroom session, lunch, afternoon classroom session, clean-up, and then dismissal.  Throughout the week there is a major focus on personal accountability, respect, and manners in all that the students do.
Students are provided a uniform that they are required to wear each day.  The Youth Academy uniform items which are provided are a baseball cap, short sleeved t-shirt, and water bottle.  Students are required to have their own plain black, knee length, athletic shorts and sneakers used for athletic activites.
Anyone interested in registering their child should click on the links below and complete both of the required forms.  The academy is open to youths who will be entering the 7th and 8th grades as of September.  Registration is on a first come, first serve basis.  For additional information, please contact Sgt. Lisa A. Sullivan at (508) 865-4449 or
