Representatives from Vision Government Solutions Inc. of Hudson, Massachusetts are assisting the Town of Sutton with the State Mandated Town Wide Revaluation for Fiscal Year 2020.  The inspections of properties throughout town are starting December 3, 2018 and will be continuous over the next several months.

The data collectors will carry photo identification from Vision Government Solutions Inc. and a letter from the Assessor’s Office. A description of their cars and license plate numbers will be on file with the Sutton Police Department (508-865-4449) and the Assessor's Office (508-865-8722).  It is suggested that homeowners request identification before granting anyone permission to enter their home.

During the initial phase of the municipal revaluation, data collectors will visit all residential, commercial, industrial, and exempt properties. Inspections and measurements of the buildings interiors and exteriors will be physically performed by Vision Government Solutions Inc. noting building characteristics such as style, size, age, quality of construction, improvements, topography and utilities.

To ensure that the home is inspected, a homeowner must sign a data collection form to verify the inspection.  The entire process takes approximately 15 minutes.  Data collectors generally work between 8:30 a.m. & 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and some additional weekend hours.  Two separate attempts are usually made to enter a property. If no one is home on those occasions a call back card will be left at the door to call and schedule an appointment at his/her convenience.

Any questions please contact the Assessor’s office at 508-865-8722.
