Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission Survey

Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission (CMPRC) has been tasked with drafting the new Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). It is a 5-year economic development plan that makes sure the region will continue to stay economically competitive in the future. CEDS is a federal initiative headed by the Federal Economic Development Administration (EDA) and will benefit our region tremendously in the future. 

This plan involves all of our cities, towns, and villages, including Sutton, in the region and is a collective effort for to reflect on the strengths and weaknesses of this beautiful region as well as to develop a plan to bolster our strengths and leverage more opportunities to improve the quality of life for all.

CMRPC and the CEDS team have started a rigorous community outreach program that includes surveys, interviews, and workshops. This link is for the Preliminary Survey that will help us gauge community priorities. The survey will ask our residents to reflect on many areas, including education, workforce development, economic development, employment, municipal capacity, agriculture, tourism, recreation, and transportation:
