Road Work Advisories

The Town of Douglas will be starting a $5 million water infrastructure upgrade project on May 9th that will last approximately three months. Affected streets will be Lackey Dam Road in Uxbridge (Shell station, under RT 146, to new warehouse), and Gilboa Street (North Street intersection to mill complex) & North Street (Main Street intersection to Mumford River bridge) in Douglas.

A separate sewer infrastructure upgrade project will follow and will complete the $8.5 million water/sewer project. Road work will close down one lane. Road construction in the vicinity of RT 146 will be done at night. Expect delays and temporary road closures. Plan alternate routes. Click here to see map for reference.
