House Checks

Sutton residents who may be away from their home for some time may call or come into the police station to request an officer to check their home while they are away.

Some basic information is gathered from the homeowner at the time of their request (i.e. name, address, dates/times they will be away, special instructions and emergency contact information). 

A "house check" card is created and kept on file at the police department.

When a resident returns, they simply call the main business line at (508) 865-4449 to inform the police department they have returned home.
