Scholarship Donations

At the annual town meeting held on October 1990, the town accepted Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 60, Section 3C (Municipal Scholarship Fund) under Article 12 of the warrant.

This acceptance allowed the town to establish a scholarship fund; said funds are collected through municipal tax bills. Each real estate, personal property & excise tax bill issued has a scholarship donation form at the top of the bill.  It is on this form taxpayers may contribute an amount of money to the scholarship fund. Residents may also now contribute to the Sutton Scholarship Fund online. Click here if you wish to contribute now.

All scholarship recipients must be residents of the Town of Sutton and a member in good standing of an accredited high school.

The candidate must have also applied to or have been accepted to a two or four year college.

The selection of recipients and amount of aid will be subject to the following criteria:

  • Financial Need
  • Community Involvement
  • Character
  • Extra Curricular School Activities
  • Scholastic Record

If you wish to be considered a candidate for a scholarship, or would like more info, please contact the Sutton Town Clerk Office at 508-865-8725 or click here.
