A By-law and Charter Review Committee shall be established every five years to provide a review of all General By-laws, exclusive of Zoning By-laws, and the Charter.
The By-law and Charter Review Committee shall consist of five members, two to be appointed by the Town Moderator and three to be appointed by the Board of Selectmen. Members of the By-law and Charter Review Committee shall serve until discharged by the Board of Selectmen.
The By-law and Charter Review Committee shall:
- Review portions of the general by-laws and Charter.
- Submit a report to the Board of Selectmen.
- Meet with the Board of selectmen regarding review and suggested changes.
The last Bylaw & Charter Review Committee included David Suprenant, Louis Ciavarra, Henry Whittier, Glenn Coulter and Richard Hersom. The committee was dissolved on December 2, 2014.
