Select Board

POWERS & DUTIES:
The Select Board is the town’s chief executive and policy-making body, consisting of five elected members serving staggered three-year terms and is responsible for establishing broad policies and guidelines that direct town operations, while leaving day-to-day administration to appointed officials and staff. The Board works collaboratively with other town entities to ensure coordinated governance, appoints the Town Manager and other key positions, maintains records of its actions, and serves as the town’s licensing authority, issuing and regulating licenses in the public interest.
