PUBLIC NOTICE - TAX CLASSIFICATION HEARING

In accordance with MGL Chapter 40, Section 56 as amended, the Sutton Select Board will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, November 7, at 6:00 p.m. at the Sutton Town Hall, 4 Uxbridge Road, Sutton. The purpose of this meeting is to determine the percentage of the tax burden to be borne by each class of property for Fiscal 2024.

Sutton has four classes of property in the town and one tax rate. The classes are residential, commercial, industrial, and personal. Assessors are planning to recommend a single rate for all four classes of
property.

The public hearing is intended as a way for taxpayer to express their views and ask questions about whether the town should adopt different rates for the different classes of property. Taxpayers are
welcome to participate and present their views orally or in writing. Written requests must be received prior to the meeting no later than November 7, 2023, by 4:00 p.m. Any person interested or wishing to be heard should call or sign into the remote meeting.
