Town of Sutton Highway Department Announces Overnight Marking Operations

SUTTON, MA – June 19, 2026 — The Town of Sutton Highway Department announces that annual centerline and gutter line pavement marking operations are scheduled to take place on the evening of Sunday, June 21, 2026.

Work is expected to begin at approximately 9:00 p.m. and continue through the overnight hours, with completion anticipated by 5:00 a.m. on Monday morning.

The pavement marking work will be performed by the Town's contractor, K5 Corporation, with Highway Department personnel accompanying the crew to assist with coordination and ensure operations proceed efficiently throughout the community.

To help protect freshly applied pavement markings and enhance public safety, a chase vehicle towing a message board displaying "CAUTION – WET PAINT – KEEP OFF LINES" will follow the striping operation as it moves through town.

Motorists should expect temporary delays and are encouraged to use caution when traveling in areas where work is underway. Residents are asked to avoid driving on freshly painted lines whenever possible to help ensure the quality and longevity of the markings.
