Camera Registration Program

Camera
The Sutton Police Department is seeking your help in fighting crime by taking part in the Sutton Camera Registry Program (CRP). The CRP allows residents and business owners to register the locations of their video surveillance systems with the Sutton Police Department. When a crime occurs, police will be able to identify the locations of nearby cameras and enlist the assistance of the community to help officers collect video evidence and follow up on leads. With this program, the Sutton Police Department will be able to directly contact CRP members that are using video surveillance in an area in which a crime occurred. Police would ask CRP members to check their video footage for a specific date and time that may show activity involved with a crime, such as a getaway car or the direction that a person of interest traveled.

Please read the Online Surveillance Camera Policy and Terms of Use Policy: Registration is voluntary and there is no cost associated with registration. Registering your camera does not provide the Sutton Police Department with direct access to your camera. You may delete your registration at any time by emailing Detective Matthew Bohanan.
