Household Hazardous Products

 

Veolia is pleased to provide the collection, packaging/consolidation, transportation, and disposal of various household hazardous products (HHP) and chemicals from Sutton Transfer Station sticker holders.  Sticker holders should bring HHP products to Veolia at 83 Gilmore Drive, Sutton, MA.  This program is for Sutton residents with active transfer station stickers only (photo ID required).

PAYMENT: Starting June 1, 2024 Sutton sticker holders may bring their HHP to Veolia during operating hours, Tuesdays and Thursdays 9 AM – 4 PM or by appointment.  Sutton will pay up to $50 per sticker holder to Veolia until the contract amount ($1900) is exhausted.  Residents would be responsible for the payment of any waste that exceeds the $50 limit.  Payment to Veolia can be cash or credit card.   PRICES SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE.

AUTHORIZED HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS PRODUCTS

Veolia HHP collection center accepts most types of HHP and chemicals.

Group 1 - $1.25/lb

  • Auto wastes such as: Gasoline, Antifreeze, oil, brake fluid, transmission fluid, grease, oil filters etc.

Group 2 - $3.00

  • Oil/solvent based paint: coatings, sealers, fillers, caulks, solvents, thinners, camping fuel, kerosene, lighter fluid etc.

Group 3 - $4.00

  • Household cleaning chemicals and compounds such as: drain cleaner, furniture and floor cleaners, spot remover, carpet cleaner, glues and adhesives, pool chemicals, aerosol spray cans, herbicides and pesticides.

The Following products CANNOT be accepted at the collection center:

  • Ammunition
  • Medical waste/sharps
  • Appliances
  • Asbestos
  • Unidentified gas containers
  • Explosives/ shock sensitive materials
  • Reactive Chemicals
  • Unlabeled/ Unknown materials
  • Radioactive materials
  • Waste from nonresidential generators
